Connecting teachers from India and Indonesia with the Carbon Futures program
A group of teachers from India and Indonesia visited the Royal Botanic Gardens in Cranbourne today, to participate in WithOneSeed’s Carbon Futures program.
The teachers are in Australia as part of the Australian Conservation Foundation’s 2013 Climate Change Educators’ Skillshare – a 14 day study tour for 24 primary and secondary school educators from India and Indonesia.
The Carbon Futures program enabled participants to directly experience environmental education in action, providing opportunities to share knowledge, skills and insights on environmental issues between cultures and across education systems.
The participants were selected for the Skillshare program according to their past proven commitment to environmental education, and the networks they have access to in order to share their knowledge widely.
The Skillshare is being made possible under an AusAID Fellowship grant.
