Certification – local stakeholder consultation

WithOneSeed today held it’s main local stakeholder consultation in Baguia, Timor Leste to discuss International Carbon Certification with subsistence farmers who are managing over 40,000 mahogany trees in their farms. We have consulted with over 200 farmers over the past week and presented the case for being tree farmers to regenerate the forests of Timor, build local economies and sequester carbon to save the planet. The community of Baguia have overwhelmingly endorsed the application toThe Gold Standard Foundation under their Afforestation/Reforestation Standard.
