‘Alternative schoolies week’ students make a contribution.

groupAs part of WithOneSeed’s Regional Partnership commitment a group of fifteen students from Margaret River in Western Australia spent four days in Baguia working with WithOneSeed. These ‘alternative schoolies week’ students wanted to make a contribution and build relationships with our Timorese neighbours.

During their stay the students helped paint WithOneSeed’s new office, they worked in two of the nurseries potting mahogany seedlings and they engaged with the village community through playing volley ball. While many Australian school groups visit Timor for cultural exchanges this was the first time students had visited Baguia to engaged in working along side the Timorese farmers.

WithOneSeed will be building on this program in 2014. If you would like information on how to participate in WithOneSeed activities please get in touch
