Carbon Futures heads to Timor Leste

WithOneSeed Founder, Andrew Mahar and Education Advisor Mick Robertson, arrived in Dili today to begin a 2 week agenda to introduce the Carbon Futures program to teachers in the sub district of Baguia.

WithOneSeed in association with Royal Botanic Gardens, Melbourne has developed the Carbon Futures program for schools in the Asia Pacific region. It provides students and teachers with hands-on and problem-based learning activities about climate change and the carbon cycle.

In this video Mick demonstrates the impact that excess carbon dioxide has on the world’s oceans.

WithOneSeed’s Open Education program provides opportunities for children and adults in the Asia pacific region to gain access to education and training resources, to learn and to build knowledge at their own pace and within their own communities and to move beyond subsistence living.
