Getting certified

Four weeks gone and half way through… have trained WithOneSeed staff to deliver three village based meetings about climate change, replanting the forests of Timor to build village economies and international carbon certification – quite an agenda. Back in Dili tonight to pick up Rowan Reid and Michael Mike Robinson-koss from Australian Agroforestry Foundation who will deliver the Australian Master TreeGrowers program in Baguia, Timor Leste. This is a five day hands on program to teach subsistence farmers about tree management. Then on the 15th November we have the main The Gold Standard Foundation local stakeholder consultation with the 250 members of the Baguia Tree Cooperative. This is a key element of achieving carbon certification for the forests of Baguia.
